On June 18th, Wuzhou Special Paper’s PM15 successfully started up production. The paper machine has a wire width of 9,300 mm and a reel width of 8,660 mm, with a design speed of 1,300 m/min and an operating speed of 1,200 m/min. It primarily produces 90-180 gsm packaging paper, with an annual production capacity of approximately 450,000 tons.
The project is located in Hubei, China, with a total investment of 17.3 billion yuan. It will build 21 main pulp and paper production lines, as well as supporting facilities such as a water supply station, wastewater treatment plant, alkali recovery, solid waste furnace, and power center. Upon completion, it can achieve an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan.
It is reported that the overall design and integration of PM15 was led by CCL PAPER MACHINE, which also provided the entire two-layer forming section, top former, and dryer section.
"We now have the capability to produce 10-meter-wide products, and this project is an excellent validation of that," said the CCL representative.
